Top 10 reasons to catch the new Streetwise Security Edge townhall sessions on Ustream.tv

As if you really need to be told why it would be a good thing to enrich your life with commentary on business and technology news from a security and privacy point of view.

1 - you can hear about privacy and security risks before you are likely to become a victim

2 - you can hear about important technology trends in business - with security and privacy commentary - in time to consider them in a business strategy

3 - I'm an old guy with experience who likes to explore how new ideas will affect business fundamentals

4 - you'll have another excuse to use your new iPhone every week

5 - If Heartland or TJX CIO's had been able to watch the "Streetwise Security Edge", their companies might not have had record-setting data breaches

6 - I'm Canadian. Everybody likes Canadians (e.g. Mike Myers, Martin Short, Sarah McLaughlin, Conrad Black... er, well, it's not a terrible ratio, really).

7 - I understand technology but don't get too technical

8 - Nobody was ever fired for trying to protect their assets (as far as we know)

9 - Letterman and Tiger Woods have let you down, and you need a new, more wholesome personality to follow (I don't have the temptations that
come with fame, and I have no casting couch.)

10 - I am connected to people like Rebecca Herold, which in security terms is like having a direct line to Mother Teresa

11 - I like to give people a little more than they ask for

Is your security awareness training just a set of old Powerpoint slides that you pull out once a year and present at an all-hands meeting? You can now provide much more effective security awareness training for your staff, for much less cost than you think. Contact me if you'd like to discuss how you can create a culture of security through a variety of live programs, and modern e-Learning techniques.
