HELP!
posted by ScottWright on Sunday, December 7th 2008 @ 9:19 AM

I just posted a blog article (click HERE) about social bookmarking and viral marketing sites. Social bookmarking are sites like Digg, Furl, ShareThis and Reddit, which allow you to save bookmarks online.

Viral marketing sites are things like "Viral Inviter", which entice you with a prize, and ask you to supply email addresses, or worse, ask you to share provide them with your email account username and password, so they can "send a note to your contacts".

Both types of sites enable massive marketing and networking benefits - it's not clear for whom. But they have some security issues. I'd like to hear from anyone who has studied these sites and has stories about the risks they've discovered.

Please read the article above, and provide any comments here.

Thanks

Scott
